Hollis Isaacs Jr., 80, of Bloomville, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Ruffing Family Care Center in Bloomville.
He was born June 21, 1932, in Gallipolis, to Hollis and Dovie (Green) Isaacs Sr. He married Doris Nominee June 22, 1957, in Indiana, and she survives in Bloomville.
Other survivors include, two sons, Mark Isaacs of Fremont and Brian Isaacs of Bloomville; two grandchildren, Ashley and Heather Isaacs of Fremont; a brother, Carl (Carolyn) Isaacs of Fremont; and a sister, Betty Long of Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Hollis was a delivery truck driver for Standard Oil and BP Oil, retiring on April 1, 1989.
He was a US Army veteran, and served during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing cards, and going to Las Vegas, and gambling. He also liked doing construction work, building his last two homes.
His funeral will be noon Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, with the Rev. Cathy Wirth officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin.
Visitation for family and friends will be 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the funeral home.
