Two people were transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of SR 587 and US 224.
State Highway Patrol Trooper Garry Odom said Timothy Walters, 51, of Alvada, and his son, Timothy M. Walters, 22, also of Alvada, were transported by Bascom EMS to Mercy Tiffin Hospital with minor injuries after their 1998 Pontiac Bonneville struck a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Mark Simpkins, 52, of Bowling Green.
Odom said Simpkins had been northbound on SR 587 when he failed to yield at the stop sign, causing Walters' vehicle on US 224 to collide with the Malibu.

Simpkins was treated at the scene, Odom said, and Walters and his son were later released from the hospital.
Simpkins has been cited with failure to yield at a stop sign, Odom said.
According to reports from the Seneca County Sheriff's Office, Bascom fire, Bascom EMS and New Riegel EMS responded to the accident, which was reported at 3:10 p.m.
