Senior recital planned at TU
Tiffin University music major Anthony Palicka is to present a senior recital at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Franks Hall on the TU campus.
Having studied at Millikin University and Terra Community College, Palicka will be the first to graduate with the new bachelor's degree in professional music at TU's commencement in May.
The recital includes a variety of musical styles, including jazz, rock and popular music, and it features a band that includes TU students and faculty.
The performance is free.
Coon Hunters to host fish fry
Sandusky River Coon Hunters is to serve an Alaskan walleye fish fry 5-8 p.m. Friday at the clubhouse 7575 S. TR 131, next to Walnut Grove Campground.
All-you-can-eat fish is available with regular or Cajun seasoning. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children.
Bunny lunch, egg hunt slated
BELLEVUE - Saturday, lunch with the Easter Bunny and the Eagles' annual egg hunt are to take place at 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The venue is the Bellevue Community Center, 110 Cherry Blvd., Bellevue.
The $2 admission includes Bitty Bunny Lunch and all activities. Cameras are welcome for pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Eagles Aerie 490 is to conduct the egg hunt outdoors promptly at 1 p.m. There is no charge, but participants should bring baskets.

Jewelry for sale at St. Joe's
Last fall, a jewelry sale took place at St. Joseph Church. Due to popular demand, the sale is to return to the old gymnasium at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
The sale is to run 9 a.m.-6 p.m. April 4, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. April 5 and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. April 6. Thousands of pieces of jewelry, including vintage and contemporary items are arranged on tables by color.
All jewelry is $2 per piece. The sale is a benefit for Calvert Catholic Schools and the missions.
Dinner to feed scholarships
The annual Carmie Fabrizio Memorial Dinner is to be served 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. April 7 at Carmie's Grill and Bar, 2460 S. SR 231. Carry-outs are to be available 11 a.m.- noon.
The cost is $10 per meal, and proceeds go to a scholarship fund for Calvert Catholic Schools students.
Get ready for stormy weather
A representative from the Tiffin Fire Department is to give a tornado safety program at 11 a.m. April 2 at the Allen Eiry Center.
Those attending can bring a lunch and any questions they may have.
This event is open to all. The center is at 28 Hopewell Ave.
Right to Life rummage sale set
FOSTORIA - The Right to Life rummage sale to benefit Caring Hands
Pregnancy Center, is set for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. April 3-5 in the basement of the Knights of Columbus, 445 W. Center St., Fostoria.
Volunteers are to accept donations 9 a.m.-4 p.m. April 1 and 2. The sale features one room for clothing of all sizes and a second room with household and miscellaneous items. Friday is a $1 bag sale.
Proceeds are to remain in the area to help families and babies.
'Appearance' forum planned
FOSTORIA - The American Cancer Society is offering "Look Good, Feel Better" for women active in cancer treatment. Participants are to receive a make-up kit and instruction to combat the appearance-related side effects of radiation and chemotherapy.
The class is 2-4 p.m. April 10 in Conference Center B, Entrance 2, at Fostoria Community Hospital.

Support group grows to area
Last December, the North Central Survivors of Suicide Support Group was launched in Willard. Now, the group has expanded to Tiffin and Seneca County. This peer-led support group is for anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide and is open to any adult.
The first meeting is set for 7-8:30 p.m. April 15 in McMullen Conference Room 1 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital, 45 St. Lawrence Drive.

FOSTORIA - Fostoria Garden Club Ltd. has announced the dates and themes for the 2013 Fostoria Farmers' Markets.
They are: May 4, Mothers Day; May 18, Let's Go Gardening; June 15, Kids and Dads Day; July 20, Good Ole Summertime; Aug. 3, Healthy Living; Aug. 17, Dog Days of Summer; Sept. 7, Art at the Market; and Sept. 21, Old Thymes.
