Donalva Mary Rahrs, 91, of Tiffin and formerly of Oak Harbor, passed away Saturday morning, March 23, 2013, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
She was born Nov. 10, 1921, in Toledo, to Adolph T. and Alma M. (Beaudry) Limmer. She married Frank H. Magers and they later divorced. She married Chester H. Rahrs Sr. on Aug. 21, 1958, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1966.
Survivors include three sons, Chester Rahrs Jr., James H. (Ann) Magers, both of Toledo, and Donald F. Magers of Oregon; a daughter, Lydia A. (Pat) Smith of Tiffin; a sister, Phyllis (Wayne) Cutcher of Toledo; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Donald Limmer; and sister, Dorothy Limmer.
Donalva was a spiritual person and always willing to help the less fortunate providing food and clothing, even taking clothing to Mexico. During WWII, she worked for Doehler-Jarvis and was a Realtor in Toledo for many years.
Her funeral will be at 11a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center Chapel. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Oak Harbor.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center Chapel.
