Kathryn J. Bowers, 79, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2013, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
She was born Feb. 27, 1934, in Martel, to George and Edna (Bodey) Hessey.
Survivors include her two sons, Steve (Janice) Tschanen of Tiffin and George (Deborah) Tschanen of Shelby; brother, Henry (Joy) Hessey of Bucyrus; five grandchildren, Matt Tschanen, Melissa (fiance, Ken Null) Tschanen, Chris (Jane) Tschanen, Shi (Garrett Moore) Tschanen and Michael Tschanen; two great-grandchildren, Rheanna and Mataya; and one expected great-grandchild in May.
Preceding her in death were her parents; 14 brothers and sisters; and one great-grandchild, London.
Kathryn graduated in 1952 from Upper Sandusky High School, worked as a secretary for Heidelberg College, Continental Hydraulic Hose, Upper Sandusky, and at Rahrig Tree Company, Forest. She was a member of the Warpole Chapter Order of the Eastern Star No. 366, Upper Sandusky, and the 20th Century Mothers Club. Kathryn resided in Florida for six years and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation or service.
