Roger M. Tyree

Roger M. Tyree, 67, of Green Springs, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born Nov. 20, 1945, in Crown, Ky., the son of Carl Joseph and Edith (Frazier) Tyree.

He is survived by his wife, Susanne (Weber), whom he married, July 2, 1970, in Monroe, Mich.; two daughters, Rachael (Christopher) Benson of Fremont and Rayanna Tyree of Fremont; grandson, Holden Tyree Benson; two brothers, Rufus (Dorothy) Tyree of Tiffin and Redgie Tyree of Tiffin; and sister, Carline (Roy Lee) Perry of Trenton, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Norma Jean Lauterbur; and brother, Morris Riley "Rab" Tyree.

Roger served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was employed at Whirlpool until his retirement in 2007. He was a member of the Bettsville American Legion and their Legion Riders group. He enjoyed golfing in Whirlpool golf leagues over the years. His hobbies included woodworking, riding his motorcycle, fishing, and gardening. Most of all he was a committed, hardworking man who loved his family.

Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until a memorial service begins at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy., Clyde.
