Coffee and doughnuts a good start

April 9, 2014 - Rob Weaver
Tiffinites soon could be a step closer to enjoying iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts.

Tiffin Zoning Board of Appeals is to meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall to discuss a request from DAMSA Ltd. for a variance to reduce the setback requirement for a parking area at 1804 W. Market St., Tiffin. That's the former site of a BP station near South Bon Air Avenue. In February, a construction company filed plans to build a Mickey Mart and Dunkin Donuts at that corner.

DAMSA Ltd., is a limited-liability company organized in May 2000 by D. Jeffery Rengel. The registered agent on file for this company is Edwin M. Coles and is located at 3619 E. SR 113 in Milan. That's the address of Mickey Mart Foodstores Inc.

Construction activity across the street from Westgate Shopping Center will be a healthy sign. Even better would be seeing the space of the former Staples store return to productive use.

Your title reminded me of your Dad dunking donuts in his coffee at breakfast at the hospital when I worked with him there back in the 80's.
