Town Hall Trot a success

The Scipio Republic Historical Society would like to thank everyone who made our First Annual Republic Town Hall Trot 5K Run and Walk a success. Thank you to all the runners and walkers who came out to our first event. Thank you to the Village of Republic and the Scipio Township Trustees. A HUGE thank you to the Scipio Republic Fire Department and the Republic Police Department for escorting the runners with the fire truck and managing traffic at all the intersections and to the EMS for being on standby in case they were needed. Thank you to Mr. Mark Ingalls for planning advice and help with timing. Thank you to all our sponsors: Republic Lumber, Republic Sons of the American Legion Post 404, Republic Banking Co., Trinity United Methodist Church, Miller’s Drive-In Bellevue, Sonic Hauling, LTD, MC Insurance, Republic United Church of Christ, Snavely’s Sugar Shack, Handshoe Cakes and Cookies, Smokey’s Family Restaurant and Tap, St. Jacob’s UCC, Bloomville Chiropractic, and to Mickey Mart, Hempy Water and Walmart for donations of supplies and Viewpoint Graphics for the great T-shirt design.

We could not have done this event without the help of all these wonderful people.

We are happy to say that we raised $2,200 dollars to go toward the Republic Town Hall restoration project.

We hope to see you all again next year!
