Put it up for a vote

After reading the numerous letters, both pros and cons, about the wind turbines, we would like to suggest the county commissioners postpone their decision until after all tax incentives are off the table. If the project is that beneficial to all Seneca County residents, it will sell itself without a tax incentive. As Lord Chesterfield said, “Whoever is in a hurry shows that the thing he is about is too big for him.”

Major decisions should never be made in haste. It would seem to be more prudent to give this matter more time and thought before making a final decision. As Benjamin Franklin said, “great haste makes great waste.” We would like to suggest, because so many seemed to be opposed to this plan, that instead of just three people making this decision, we put this up for a vote for all the people in Seneca County.

Sincerely,

Fred and Kay Zirger,

Tiffin
