Linda K. Davis

Linda K. Davis, 73, of Clyde, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at University Hospital, Cleveland.

Linda was born Sept. 18, 1946, in Findlay, the daughter of the late Junior and Anna (McClure) Thomas.

Linda was a successful mother to triplet boys and raised five sons in total. She was known in the community for working and managing in food service for many years, and was recently a cashier at the local Family Dollar. She also spent time working in the Dietary Department at Eden Springs, formerly known as St. Francis Rehabilitation Center, Green Springs. Prior to her marriage to her late husband, David Davis, Linda was an Executive Secretary for H.J. Heinz & Co. Linda was also active with Camp Fire, Cub Scouts, and V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She also was a member of Clyde-Green Springs Music Boosters, and spent several years as an APPLE volunteer at Clyde Elementary, formerly Vine St. Elementary School. She was involved in many children’s lives, with many of her son’s friends referring to her as “Mom” or “Mom Davis.”

Linda is survived by her five sons, Clint J. Davis of Clyde, Thomas D. (Sara) Davis of Millbury, and triplets, David V. (Lizzie) Davis of Fremont, Dr. Duane L. (Jackie) Davis of Salem, Indiana, and Darren J. Davis of Fairborn; 13 grandchildren, Cameron, Maddie, Gabriella, Caden, Carys, Destiny, Emma, Torrance, Connor, Julian, Elizabeth, Sophia, and Colin; several nieces and nephews; and her furbabies, Annie, Junior, and Kissie.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, David Davis, whom she married Dec. 14, 1968, in Clyde; granddaughter, Mairi Davis; and sister, Catherine Runion.

Services for Linda will be private based on recommendations from the CDC and State of Ohio. Burial will take place at Green Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde.
