Mary L. Schank
Mary L. Schank, 78, of Attica, passed away Monday evening, Feb. 10, 2020, at Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky.
She was born May 1, 1941, in Willard, to Leo and Viola (Featheringill) Stockmaster. She married John R. Schank Feb. 15, 1980, in Attica, and he preceded her in death Aug. 27, 2006.
Her family includes four daughters, Debra (Allan) Schoen of Attica, Darlene (Stephen) Hoepf of Republic, Donna (William) Valent of Kansas and Diane (Rob ) Nutter of Attica;10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Shirley) Stockmaster of Attica; and a sister, Margaret Trauger of Dayton.
Mary was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica. She enjoyed watching sprint car and NASCAR racing, going camping, and going to Kenton Coondog trials, and being with her grandchildren.
She had worked at Pioneer Rubber Co. and later at R.R. Donnelley and Son in Willard. She retired in 2003.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19, Bloomville. A Christian wake service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb, 15, 2020, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, with the Rev. Nathan Bockrath and the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Attica.
