Larry E. 'Pork' Wenner

Larry E. "Pork" Wenner, 78, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center. He was born April 7, 1941, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Lloyd and Doris (Cooley) Wenner. Survivors include his sister, Sandy Halcomb of Dallas Coast, Florida; sister-in-law, Gertrude Wenner of Bucyrus; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James Wenner and Kenneth Wenner. Larry graduated in 1959 from Tiffin Columbian High School where he was an All Ohio football player and attended Heidelberg College. He was a lineman at Tiffin Metal Products for years and also worked at IGA in Bloomville and Woody's Drive-In in Fremont. He enjoyed bowling, harness horses, playing cards, collecting stamps and coins and was a Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeye fan. A graveside service will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to thank Autumnwood Care Center for the last 17 years of care. Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
