Joyce M. Wadams

Joyce M. Wadams, 83, of Attica, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, in her home.

She was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Clyde, and is the daughter of Frank and Magdalene (Nick) Fultz.

Joyce married Dorsey “Skip” Wadams Jan. 21, 1956, in Clyde. Skip preceded her in death June 5, 2003.

Survivors include her three daughters, Terri (Robert) Doyle of Chillicothe, Sherry (Gregory) McConnell of Bellevue and Lisa (Kraig) Martin of Attica; eight grandchildren, Megan (David) Donaldson of Chillicothe, Logan (Christina) Nagel of Columbus Grove, Nathaniel (Jen) McConnell of Sylvania, Hilary (Casey) McElwain of Bellevue, Alison (Cameron) Brant of Willard, Alexis (Sam) Strayer of Bellevue and Brennan Martin and Collan Martin both of Attica; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Emma, Jacob, Braden, Kenzie, Bryson, Reid and Madelyn; two brothers, Willie Fultz and Larry Fultz; four sisters, Faye Hunley, Carole Fultz, Mary Jo (Richard) Ulman and Linda (Larry) Hall; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, JoAnn Berberick and Sandra Gurney; and one great-grandchild, Avery Annette Nagel.

Joyce was retired from the former Mapa Pioneer in Attica where she had worked for over 25 years.

She enjoyed working outside in her yard and tending to her flowers, volunteering at Attica Food Pantry, and walking with her girlfriends. She also enjoyed participating in the Relay for Life with her sisters. But the thing she loved most was spending time with her three daughters and their families, as well as visiting her brothers and sisters.

Friends and family will be received 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, at Hanneman Funeral Home, 295 W. Tiffin St., Attica, OH 44807.

Joyce’s funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, in First Baptist Church, 101 High St., Attica, OH 44807 with Pastor Bob Adelsperger officiating. Burial will follow in Attica Venice Cemetery.
