Robert Edward Hitchcock

Robert Edward Hitchcock, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at his residence.

He was born March 16, 1935, in Ada, to Clarence and Della (Schnegg) Hitchcock.

Survivors include his children, Ed (Saundra) Hitchcock of Mesa, Arizona, Mike Hitchcock of Tiffin, Jim Hitchcock of Arizona, Lynda Hitchcock of EL Cajon, California, Bob Hitchcock of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, Brian, Angela, Sheila and Kyle; one great-grandson, Harry; a sister, Darlene Combs of Alabama; his best friend, Sandy; and a very special friend, Bernice Mira.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Betty Benham and Ellen Badgther.

Robert was retired after 40 years in newspaper production. He was a life member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

He was a United States Army veteran serving 1955 until 1957 during Korea.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin.

Graveside services for Robert will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, in Woodlawn cemetery, Ada.
