Sue Jane ‘Lutz’ Montgomery

Sue J. Montgomery, 78, of Bloomville, passed away Sunday Aug. 11, 2019, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Tonia (Ken) Majors of Bloomville.

She was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Bloomville, to Cleo and Lena (Homler) Lutz. She married Burdell Shock in 1960, and they later divorced, then June 1989, she married Edward Montgomery and he preceded her in death in 1995.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy (George) Stephens of Green Springs and Tonia (Kenneth) Majors of Bloomville; a son, Rusty (Dana) Shock of Shelby; four grandchildren, Josh (Breann) Majors, Becky (Hayden) Shock, Amber Craig and Brennon Shock;, one great-grandchild, Kipton Majors; three brothers, Edward (Betty) Lutz of Tiffin, George (Phyllis) Lutz and William (Sharon) Lutz both of Bloomville; three sisters, Katie Conger of Bloomville, Debbie (Randy) Fassler of Tiffin and Jenny (Roger) Fatzinger of Bloomville; and a sister-in-law, Pam Lutz of Bloomville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Jerry and John Lutz.

Sue was a member of Bloomville United Church of Christ, an American Red Cross volunteer, Allen Eiry Senior Center, Caulfield American Legion Post 434 Ladies Auxiliary of Bloomville, Bloomville PTO, and Bloomville Lioness Club, and a 1959 graduate Bloom Twp. High School.

She had been employed at Carl’s Rexall, Pioneer Rubber Co., and American Standard, retiring in 2000.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19, Bloomville.

Services for Sue will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cathy Wirth officiating. There will be no burial at this time.
