Marlene Schwartz, 83, previously of Bellevue, Florida and Texas, and most recently of Pinson, Tennessee, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at her home.
She was born Jan. 4, 1936, in Bellevue, to Raymond and Marguerite (Boehler) Ruess. She married Gerald Schwartz Nov. 6, 1953, and he preceded her in death Aug. 15, 1995.
Mrs. Schwartz is survived by two sons, Leon (Tina) Schwartz of Pinson, Tennessee, and Timothy (Ronne) Schwartz of Schriever, Louisiana; one daughter, Karen Couture of Lakeland, Florida; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Schwartz of Nitro, West Virginia; and three siblings, Beverly (Joseph) Wott of Tiffin, Ruth Ann Myers of Boykins, Virginia, and James (Jeannette) Ruess of Tiffin.
Along with her parents and husband, Marlene’s son, Stephen preceded her in death.
Marlene graduated from Bellevue High School in 1953, and worked as a clerk at Hogues. Marlene was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church while residing in Bellevue.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue. Additional calling will be 10-11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest St., Bellvue. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Monday, at the church.
Memorials may be made to St John’s Preschool Scholarship Fund.
