Phyllis J. Dahms
Phyllis J. Dahms, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday afternoon, Dec. 2, 2018, at her residence.
Phyllis was born Sept. 1, 1930, in Fostoria, to Samuel W. and Mary Ellen (Whicker) Stahl. She married Russell C. “Russ” Dahms June 20, 1948, in Girton Church of God, and he preceded her in death Nov. 14, 2008.
Survivors include her six children, Leah (Steven) Cramer of Oregon, Curtis (Rebecca) Dahms of Findlay, Laura (Edward) Talbot of Tiffin, Russell Dahms Jr. of Tiffin, Lisa (Dan) Merwine of Carey and Lois (Vincent) Eatherton of Fostoria; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two children, Timothy Dahms and Neil Dahms; a brother, Keith Stahl; and a sister, Janet Gilliland.
Phyllis was a 1948 graduate of Jackson Burgoon High School. She was a homemaker and member of Arcadia Church of God, where she was the organist for many years. Phyllis enjoyed playing the piano and organ, painting and traveling.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home, Tiffin.
Her funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at the funeral home with the Rev. Norman Claypool officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Cemetery, Wayne.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
