Homer Lee Morrison
Homer Lee Morrison, 83, of Sun City, Florida, and formerly of Tiffin, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at his residence in Florida.
Homer was born Feb. 22, 1935, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to Okey and Hazel (Windon) Morrison. He married Betty (King) June 1, 1984, in Bettsville, and she survives in Florida.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Betty; his four children, Thomas L. (Brenda) Morrison of Tiffin, Debra J. (Curtis) Swartzmiller of Attica, Shirley A. (Thomas) Rumschlag of Attica and Pamela L. (Mark) Jenson of Orlando, Florida; five stepchildren, Teresa (Chuck) Scherger of Fostoria, Paul (Mickey) Boyd of Houma, Louisiana, Carol (Greg) Garn of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Jim (Jenny) Boyd of Tiffin and Scott (Cara) Boyd of Tiffin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog,
Homer was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Kathleen Sue Morrison; two brothers, Okey Morrison Jr. and Earl Morrison; and two sisters, Edna Rush and Grace Kirian.
Homer attended Washington Irving High School. Homer worked at General Electric in Tiffin for 20 years, then for Hillsboro County School Board in Florida for 10 years until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, riding motorcycles, bowling, going to the casino and woodworking. Homer also loved to spend time with his family.
Visitation for family and friends will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, until the time of the service, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin.
The funeral for Homer will begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Earl Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens.
