June Eileen Fate, 87, of Old Fort, died at 6:23 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at Elmwood Assisted Living, Fremont.

June was born July 29, 1931, in Old Fort to Lawrence and Nellie (Daniels) Keim. She married Thomas F. Fate Nov. 24, 1949, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, and he died May 28, 2008.

Survivors include seven children, Thomas F. (Genny) Fate Jr. of Tyler, Texas, Deborah K. (Bob) Colson of Port Clinton, Timothy M. (Cindy) Fate of Lambertville, Michigan, David J. (Donna) Fate of Fremont, Jeanne I. (Orest) Harkacz of Chugiak, Alaska, Brenda J. Fate of Fremont, and James B. Fate of Summerville, South Carolina; 19 grandchildren; many, many great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence “Mutt” (Janet) Keim of Old Fort; and three sisters, Carol Harrah of Clyde, Sharon (Jim) Warner of Walbridge and Peggy (Gary) Boroff of Marysville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Robert Keim, John Keim and Richard Keim; and a sister, Marjorie Rathburn.

June was 1949 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, a homemaker and member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-3113, with a wake service at 3:30 p.m.

Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at the funeral home, with the funeral Mass beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
