Norman Lee Mohr
Norman Lee Mohr, 82, of Fort Myers, Florida, since 1971 and formerly of Tiffin and Republic, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, from injuries of a recent fall, surrounded by family in Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers, Florida.
He was born March 24, 1936, at home in Republic, to Willard and Frances Mohr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lillian Faye (Halcomb) Mohr; four daughters, Elaine Hambling (Chuck) of Cape Coral, Florida, Leigh Byer (Paul) of Fort Myers, Florida, Tracy Rummans (John) of North Fort Myers, Florida, and Vickie DeArmond (Julio Cruz) of Fort Myers, Florida; one sister, Janice Mohr of Okeechobee, Florida; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Mohr.
Norman was a U.S. Navy veteran. He graduated from Bowling Green State University and was a respected teacher and coach for several years, prior to becoming owner of MasterKleen of Lee County. Norm retired from Lee County Schools.
His celebration of life services and military honors were Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, Fort Myers, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gary Sinise Foundation, P.O. Box 50008, Studio City, CA 91614-5001, which funds programs to benefit active military, veterans, Gold Star families and first responders, in memory of Norman Mohr.
