Kalmbach Feeds to donate funds for food

UPPER SANDUSKY — As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic's unprecedeented challenges being faced by Americans, Kalmbach Feeds will be donating funds to help supply 500,000 meals. "The Kalmbach Feeds leadership wanted to come up with a way to not only help those who are hurting right now, but also give a way for team members and customers to be involved," Angela Moser, brand experience manager of Kalmbach Feeds, said. The campaign — "Feed the Need" — was created to help those who are currently finding themselves relying on food banks for the first time ever. For each bag of Kalmbach Feeds, Tribute or Formula of Champions branded sold, Kalmbach Feeds, Inc. will donate one meal to Feeding America. Paul Kalmbach, Jr., president of Kalmbach Feeds, said in a release provided by Kalmbach Feeds, "So many people are in need right now, due to circumstances completely out of anybody's control, and we want to be a part of helping our neighbors in the communities we serve." Kalmbach Feeds was established in 1963 by Milton and Ruth Kalmbach. It is currently headed by the second and third generation of the Kalmbach family. "Helping each other is really in the DNA of agricultural/rural America," Moser said. "As part of the nation's food chain, we want to provide for those who have become food insecure during this unprecedented time. Feed the Need gives people an easy way to help out and hopefully sparks ideas for other fellow community members to get involved in whatever ways they are able."
