Sylvania man who admits theft from Walmart sentenced to community control

A Sylvania man who had pleaded guilty to a theft charge was sentenced to three years of community control during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley’s courtroom Wednesday.

Nicholas R. Sczublewski, 26, had pleaded guilty to a charge of theft, a fifth-degree felony.

Kelbley sentenced him to three years of community control and granted credit for 75 days served in Seneca County Jail.

Sczublewski must undergo counseling, substance abuse rehabilitation and/or treatment as determined necessary, undergo random drug and/or alcohol urinalysis as directed by Adult Parole Authority and enter and complete a program at CROSSWAEH.

The theft involved Walmart property.
