A pre-trial hearing is set for today for Republic’s mayor, who has been accused of throwing a family member onto a bed and punching her several times in the face.
Jeffery L. Larick, 49, of Republic, was charged with domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor; illegal restraint, a third-degree misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a minor misdemeanor, according to Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court.
Seneca County Sheriff’s Office deputies had been sent to his residence at 205 Kilbourne St., Republic, on Sept. 28.
An argument had been reported involving Larick and a family member.
Larick is accused of forcing his way into a room, throwing the family member to a bed, punching her several times in the face and biting her finger, according to court records.
An alcohol breath sample obtained with a preliminary breath testing device showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.129, they state.
