BSA Children’s Theatre to present ‘Wizard of Oz,’ hosting auditions

BELLEVUE — Bellevue Society for the Arts’ Children’s Theatre is to present “The Wizard of Oz” – young performers edition – at 7:30 p.m. May 1 and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. May 2 in The Hirt Theatre, 205 Maple St.

This Young Performers’ Edition is a one-hour adaptation of “The Wizard of Oz,” specially tailored for young performers. This classic tale, in which a Kansas farm girl travels over the rainbow to discover the magical power of home, has been entertaining audiences for generations.

Auditions will be at 6 p.m., March 3 and 4 at Bellevue Society for the Arts. Those auditioning will be asked to prepare a short, simple song.
