Toledo man charged with aggravated robbery

A Toledo man has been charged with aggravated robbery after an incident in Fostoria.

Brian P. Johnson Jr., 35, was charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, according to court records.

His bond was set at $250,000 cash on Friday, and he was in Seneca County Jail, a Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court spokeswoman said.

Court records state Fostoria Police Department officers responded to 1207 Peeler Drive, Apt. C, on Nov. 20.

They state a woman told police Johnson became physically aggressive with her in an attempt to take possession of all of her cash.

The woman reported being knocked to the kitchen floor by Johnson after she refused to give up her money, they state.

Johnson allegedly got on top of her, choking her with his hands and forcing her to give up her money, they state.

The woman was taken to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital and was transferred to ProMedica The Toledo Hospital due to a fractured bone in her neck, according to court records.
