Tiffin man who admits public indecency sentenced to jail, community control

A Tiffin man who pleaded guilty to a public indecency charge was sentenced to 60 days in Seneca County Jail and three years of community control Tuesday.

Timothy E. Wurm, 56, had pleaded guilty to a charge of public indecency, a fifth-degree felony, during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom.

A woman pulled into a parking spot at Walmart, 2801 W. SR 18, and saw a man in a Ford F-150 truck. Wurm admitted to the incident inside the truck, and the woman’s son witnessed it, according to court records.

Wurm had been trespassed from Walmart in 2014 for the same type of incident, they state.

Shuff sentenced Wurm to three years of community control and 60 days in Seneca County Jail, with credit for six days served.

Wurm must complete a substance abuse rehabilitation assessment and treatment program, enter and complete a mental health assessment counseling program and undergo random drug and/or alcohol urinalysis as directed by Adult Parole Authority, according to court records.

He also must continue counseling and abide by his treatment plan, they state.
