BELLEVUE — The Willows at Bellevue celebrated its newly renovated living facilities with a ribbon cutting ceremony Jan. 16.
Bre Farrar, villa lifestyle director of the Willows, and her staff were joined by the Chamber of Commerce of Sandusky County, the Chamber of Commerce of Bellevue, Judge John P. Kolesar, Seneca County Commissioner Shayne Thomas and Kevin Stecker, mayor of Bellevue, for the celebration to showcase the new resident living spaces, according to a release from the Chamber of Commerce of Sandusky County.
The renovations to the apartment-style living spaces included new carpets, tiling, countertops and patio doors, the release states.
Higher toilets with assisted handlebars were also included in the renovation, in response to requests from residents at the senior living facility, the release states.
“We listened to what our residents had to say and took that into consideration with these renovations,” stated Rey Nevarro, divisional vice president at The Willows, in the release.
Along with the independent living villas, residents at The Willows at Bellevue can enjoy their dining facility that offers breakfast every day, a soup of the day on weekdays and a recreational center where they can enjoy family nights, game nights and themed dinners, it states. The recreational center is also available to rent out to the public, it states.
“We want to make sure our buildings match our care,” Farrar is quoted saying in the release. “We have top-notch care and we wanted our living facilities to reflect that.”
