Mohawk BOE meets in special session
SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Board of Education met Monday in special session. Prior to interviewing candidates for the vacant seat on the board, Kathy Koehler was sworn in as vice president of the board.
Because Carl Long is now a member of the board, he has resigned as substitute bus driver and teacher but was approved as a volunteer substitute bus driver and teacher.
Integrated preschool teacher Marissa Bott resigned effective Jan. 3 2020.
Retired Roy Swartz was hired as interim treasurer while Rhonda Feasel is on medical leave.
Three applicants were to be interviewed to fill the empty seat on the board. No decision was to be made Monday. Board president Josh Messersmith indicated that an announcement would be made later in the week.
The board is to meeting in regular session on Feb. 4, one week earlier than usual.
