Four vehicles damaged, woman hurt in accident
Four vehicles were damaged and a woman was hurt in an accident at West Market Street and Caldwell Avenue on Monday evening.
According to a Tiffin Police Department report, Anthony C. Ward, 34, of Tiffin, was driving a 2019 Nissan Altima; Hannah M. Williams, 21, of Tiffin, was driving a 2018 Kia Forte; Sandra L. Stockmaster, 56, of Republic, was driving a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix; and John L. Whitlow, 63, of Tiffin, was driving a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country.
All vehicles were driving east on West Market Street.
The Kia Forte, Pontiac Grand Prix and Chrysler Town and Country were stopped at a red light, and Ward didn’t realize the vehicles in front of him were stopped at a red light, the report states.
It states the Nissan Altima ran into the back of the Kia Forte, pushing the Kia Forte into the rear of the Pontiac Grand Prix, and pushing the Pontiac Grand Prix into the back of the Chrysler Town and Country.
Williams went to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital, and Ward was cited with assured clear distance ahead, according to the report.
