Area Agency on Aging makes home repair assistance available

ONTARIO — The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. has funds available for necessary home repairs for those age 60 and older, a release from the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging states.

“Necessary home repairs” could include fixing a leaking roof; fixing or replacement of a broken furnace; installation of a wheelchair ramp; making a bathroom more accessible; or other necessary home repairs, according to the release.

To apply for these programs, if you live in Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Knox, Marion, Morrow, Seneca or Wyandot counties, contact the Area Agency on Aging at (800) 860-5799, Monday – Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m, the release states.
