At right, Ritchie Stanley (left) and another employee of Finchum Sports Floors, Sevierville, Tennessee, work to put down a maple wood floor on the roller rink at Rolling Thunder Skating & Family Fun Center at the Tiffin Mall. Stanley said the workers started the floor Monday, working in an alternating pattern and accommodating the curving floor (shown above). He said the floor should be finished this week. Stanley said maple is a good hard wood for floors such as roller rinks and basketball courts. The overall project, being constructed by Nick Salyers and his company, RDS Contractors of Bluffton, is planned to be completed in late January and the center is scheduled to open in February.
