Ribbon cutting this morning for Rose Leaf Flowers
After having spent a few years in Columbus, Seneca County native Kassandra Ringle has returned and opened a new business in the historic Laird Arcade, Rose Leaf Flowers.
To mark the opening of the store, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for 11 a.m. today and a Christmas open house is planned 1-4 p.m. Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday.
The business, which provides flower arrangements for weddings, events and sells “daily arrangements” for birthdays and anniversaries, has been open at 114 S. Washington St. Suite B since mid-October, according to a news release from Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership.
The release said Ringle grows some of her plants at her home in Eden Township and uses suppliers from the Columbus area who source from Ohio producers during the warmer months.
She plans to begin offering items from local artists that are made or grown in Tiffin in her retail shop, the release said. She began by selling her products at the Seneca County Farmers Market, the release said, and she and Melissa Blair have begun to offer paint, craft and arrangement classes out of another space in the Laird called Artsy Rose Craft Studio. The studio is to be open by appointment and for special events.
“There’s so many different events that bring people downtown, and a great community in the Laird Arcade,” Ringle said in the release. “I really like being downtown. There’s just a great vibe here.”
