Four hurt in accident at North Sandusky, Hudson streets

Four people were hurt in an accident at North Sandusky and Hudson streets Friday afternoon. Lee E. Fitch, 17, of Tiffin, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet 2500 west on Hudson Street at North Sandusky Street; Phyllis J. Banks, 78, of Tiffin, was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry south in the eastern-most lane of North Sandusky Street; and Jennifer M. Moore, 48, of Tiffin, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet HHR north in the western-most lane on the Kennedy Bridge, according to Tiffin Police Department. Fitch made a left turn onto North Sandusky Street, and his Chevrolet 2500 struck the Toyota Camry, according to the police department. The Toyota Camry curved to the left, went left of center and struck the Chevrolet HHR, which went over a curb and struck a guard rail, according to the police department. Banks; Hayden A.M. Banks, 7, of Tiffin, a passenger in Banks' vehicle; Moore; and Sarah E. Gonzalez, 26, of Tiffin, a passenger in Moore's vehicle, all went to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital, according to the police department. Fitch was cited with failure to yield right-of-way at an intersection. Tiffin Fire Rescue Division assisted. The accident occurred about 1:30 p.m.
