A-T publisher named publisher of The Courier and Review Times
Jeremy Speer, The Advertiser-Tribune publisher since May, has also been named the publisher of The Courier in Findlay and the Review Times in Fostoria. On Sunday, Ogden Newspapers, the parent company of the A-T, assumed ownership of the papers in Findlay and Fostoria.
He will remain publisher of the Advertiser-Tribune.
“I am thrilled to have an opportunity to work with papers with the history and deep community ties that those do in Tiffin, Findlay and Fostoria,” Speer said.
“With the new acquisitions, my goal is to continue to build upon past ownership by getting as many names and faces in the paper as we can each day, with local news content complemented by attractive and powerful local advertising.”
Speer said he will continue to live in the Tiffin area and will continued to be a face out and about in the community. He also will continue to write a column with some frequency in the A-T.
“Tiffin has embraced me from day one, and it has been a great time to become a member of this community,” he said. “I’ll be splitting my time between our three papers but I will be no stranger to Tiffin.”
Speer said he is excited by the synergy of having sister papers so close to one another and that he will be working to make sure the staffs work together on news gathering efforts and advertising initiatives, both in print and digital.
Ron Waite, publisher of The Sandusky Register and Norwalk Reflector, which also are owned by Ogden Newspapers, will serve as the group publisher for the company’s five newspapers in northern Ohio.
