Father Paul Volunteer Bakery pre-Thanksgiving sale
CAREY — The Father Paul Volunteer Bakery at Our Lady of Consolation will be having its pre-Thanksgiving bake sale Nov. 16 and 17.
Pumpkin pie and dinner rolls for the holiday table will be featured. Other pies on offer will be apple, Dutch apple, rhubarb, strawberry-rhubarb, cherry-rhubarb, mixed berry, cherry, blueberry, peach and peach with crumb topping. The bakery was started by the late Father Paul Faroh and benefits Shrine and parish projects.
Featured breads will be braided white, raisin, multi-grain, Italian and honey oat.
Coffee cakes available will be apple, cinnamon and nut.
Potato chips made from locally grown potatoes, chicken noodle soup and ham and bean soup will also be for sale.
Cookies, sold by the dozen, will include chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, frosted sugar, peanut butter and monster.
Breads and pies are sold frozen and baking instructions for the pies will be provided.
The sale will be held in the cafeteria across from the basilica from 3-7 p.m. Nov. 16 and 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Nov. 17.
