Community members evaluate proposed Joint Comprehensive Plan
Community members take their time evaluating the proposed objectives for the Joint Comprehensive Plan for Seneca County, City of Tiffin, City of Fostoria and the Seneca County Park District, Wednesday night.
Representatives from CT Consultants presented objectives and priorities on the proposed final draft of a Joint Comprehensive Plan for Seneca County.
The plan is multijurisdictional, covering Seneca County, Tiffin, Fostoria and the Seneca County Park District. This plan consists of long-term objectives and goals and priorities that are to be implemented for strategic plans and action steps.
Objectives/goals included were broken down into six categories, a prosperous and resilient economy; an attractive, desirable and livable place; quality community facilities and services; environmental stewardship — valued natural resources; enhanced mobility, accessibility and public utilities; strong community character and image.
This is one of two final community input meetings to acquire feedback on the proposed plan. These meetings are designed for the citizens, business owners and elected officials of Seneca County to gather their input on the future of Seneca County.
The next meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. today, at 342 Perry St., Fostoria.
