Melmore UMC to host Community Fall Fest

MELMORE — Melmore United Methodist Church will host the second annual Community Fall Fest in their parking lot, 6817 SR 67, Saturday from 2-5 p.m.

Pastors Amy Vittorio and Charlene Thomas will be singing at the event, and there will be crafts and games for kids, Vittorio said.

Hot dogs and other food items will also be provided at the event, she said.

“The Community Fall Fest is open to anyone who’d like to come,” she said.

“We’re trying to get people together and create some fellowship, and put them in a position to meet new people,” she said. “Sometimes we don’t get to know our neighbors as well as used to, so we’re really trying to encourage communication between the community and our church, to let them know we’re there when they need us, just as they have been there for us.”

“It’s also our way of showing our appreciation to the community, our way of saying thank you,” she said.
