Republic woman accused of animal cruelty
A Republic woman has been accused of animal cruelty.
Cindy Schock, 38, is being charged with 23 counts of animal cruelty, all second-degree misdemeanors, through Fremont Municipal Court, according to the court.
Schock’s arraignment tentatively is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 25 in Fremont Municipal Court.
According to Humane Society of Sandusky County, an agent seized 23 pasture animals — including nine rabbits, seven sheep, six horses and a miniature donkey — from a boarding facility.
The horses were severely underweight, with one mare gaining 180 pounds since being removed from the property, according to Humane Society of Sandusky County.
