Ohio attorney general to talk about cybersecurity

FINDLAY — Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is to be in Findlay 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 7 to talk about “real-world cyber war stories” in Ohio, according to a news release from Hylant and Centracomm.

“Cybersecurity: It’s Time to Take Action” is to take place at Hilton Garden Inn-Findlay, 1050 Interstate Drive West, Findlay.

Yost is to give the keynote speech, the release said, and other presenters include Loren Wagner, senior executive, Risk and aCentraComm; Tyson Kindler, engineering technologies supervisor, CentraComm; and Jeff Gillmor, client executive, Insurance and Risk Management, Hylant.

The presenters are to discuss time-sensitive issues relevant to manufacturing industries, and strategies to help protect against cyberbreaches as well as recovery solutions should a cyberattack occur.

The release said participants can learn more about Tier 1 and Tier 2 mandates for automotive, defense and aerospace, and the steps to tackle risk mitigation and compliance; how cybersecurity will directly impact business; Senate Bill 220 and other legislation and the impact on industries; equipping a business for an event with calm and informed decisions that mitigate liability and financial hardship.

The release said business owners and managers can leave with a better understanding and awareness of the proactive actions to take to avoid the unexpected pitfalls associated with network intrusion, and how to safeguard your confidential and personal information.
