Woman sentenced to prison after admitting drug trafficking crimes

A Tiffin woman was sentenced to nearly five years in prison Tuesday afternoon after admitting she committed drug trafficking crimes.

Nichole A. Lange, 24, pleaded guilty to charges of trafficking in hashish, a third-degree felony, and trafficking in marijuana and attempted tampering with evidence, fourth-degree felonies, during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom.

Shuff followed the joint recommendation and sentenced Lange to 58 months in prison, with credit for 69 days served.

Seneca County Prosecutor’s Office agreed to remain silent about judicial release if Lange serves at least one year in prison.

Lange agreed to forfeit about $6,700 and an iPhone.

Court records state Seneca County Drug Task Force – METRICH Enforcement Unit and Tiffin Police Department officers had executed a search warrant at Lange’s residence at 375 ½ E. Perry St., Tiffin, on April 4.

Prior to sentencing, Lange thanked Shuff for the opportunity she got in the Participating in Victory of Transition program. She said it changed her life despite Tuesday’s circumstances, and it never was her intention to take advantage of the program.
