Rachael’s Ride Motorcycle Rally to raise awareness of opioid addiction and treatment in Fostoria Saturday

FOSTORIA – Rachael’s Ride Motorcycle Rally and Run is to go through Fostoria, Tiffin, Willard, Fremont and back to Fostoria Saturday in remembrance of those who have lost their lives to addiction, a release written by Ed Schetter states.

The event starts with sign-in at Venue 18, 11295 SR 18, Fostoria, beginning at 10 a.m., the release states.

There will be resources available for both the addicted and those that addiction has touched, the release states, and Fostoria Mayor Eric Keckler will proclaim the date Heroin Awareness Day. Other speakers are also to be presented at noon, it states.

The motorcycle run is to commence at 12:30 p.m. and will end back at Venue 18 about 6 p.m., it states.

The day is to culminate in live music from 6 p.m.-midnight from three local bands: Silence the Echoes, Clubhouse Rock Stars and RockMofia.

The release states that the event was designed to raise awareness about heroin and opioid addiction and treatment options in the area and state-wide.

The event is sponsored and supported by the Fostoria United Way, Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties, ABATE of Ohio, NWO Metal Militia, Reineke Family Dealerships, Bowling Transportation, Venue 18, Custom Torso and HOPE in Fostoria among others, it states.
