Georgia man hurt in semi rollover

A Georgia man was hurt when the semi he was driving rolled on CR 21 at TR 138 on Tuesday afternoon.

Sgt. Kent Jeffries of the Fremont post of State Highway Patrol said Kanome Demond Macintosh, 21, was driving a semi and flat-bed trailer south on CR 21.

The semi drifted off the right side of the road and overturned, he said.

Jeffries said Macintosh was transported to The Bellevue Hospital. He said he did not know the extent of Macintosh’s injuries.

The flat-bed trailer was hauling sheets of plywood.

A crew from John’s Welding & Towing responded to clean up the scene.

Jeffries said he did not know whether Macintosh was wearing a seatbelt.

A citation had not been issued as of Tuesday afternoon.

Personnel from North Central EMS and Green Springs Rural Volunteer Fire Department assisted.

The accident occurred about 1:10 p.m.
