Tiffin man sentenced to 40 months in prison

A Tiffin man was sentenced to more than three years in prison during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley’s courtroom.

Thie W. Runion, 38, entered written pleas of guilty to two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, one third-degree felony and one fifth-degree felony.

Kelbley sentenced him to 40 months in prison, with credit for 47 days served, court records state.

Fostoria man pleads guilty

A Fostoria man pleaded guilty to a charge during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom.

Chad A. Dayton, 32, entered a written negotiated plea of guilty to a charge of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony, court records state.

The case was referred for a pre-sentence investigation report.

Dayton also admitted he violated terms of his community control, according to court records.

He had pleaded guilty to charges of safecracking, a fourth-degree felony, and theft from a person in a protected class, a fifth-degree felony.

Tiffin man sentenced to community control

A Tiffin man was sentenced to community control during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom.

Aaron W. Crowe Jr., 24, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of attempted tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony, court records state.

Shuff sentenced him to three years of community control and granted credit for 82 days served in Seneca County Jail.

Crowe must complete a substance abuse assessment and treatment program, enter and complete any other appropriate counseling program and undergo weekly drug and/or alcohol urinalysis as directed by Adult Parole Authority, according to court records.

Man pleads guilty

A man pleaded guilty to a drug-related charge during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom.

Cody J. Moskal, 25, entered a written negotiated plea of guilty to a charge of abusing harmful intoxicants, a fifth-degree felony, according to court records.

The case was referred for a pre-sentence investigation report.

Woman to undergo rehabilitation

A Michigan woman is to serve a three-year period of rehabilitation.

Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff found Averie V. Scites, 24, met the criteria for intervention in lieu of conviction, according to court records.

Scites entered a written plea of guilty to a charge of theft, a fifth-degree felony, they state.

Shuff ordered Scites to serve a three-year period of rehabilitation and granted credit for five days served in Seneca County Jail.

Scites must continue and complete a counseling program and undergo twice-monthly drug and/or alcohol urinalysis as directed by the drug intensive probation officer, court records state.
