Next Fostoria Farmers’ Market to take place Saturday
The next Fostoria Farmers’ Market of the season is to take place 9 a.m. -1 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Tiffin and Main Streets in Fostoria.
There is to be a theme of “Christmas in July” at Saturday’s Market, according to a release from the Fostoria Chamber of Commerce. Flippin’ Jimmy’s Restaurant is to give away a $50 gift card and a selection of original bottles of orange Faygo Soda, according to the release.
Locally grown berries, edible perennials, plant starts, baked goods, honey products, homemade lotions and soaps, bath salts and scrubs and kettle corn will be available, as well as crafted birdhouses, pottery, bowls made from recycled newspapers, handmade wooden signs, chairs and other carved, hand-sewn and crocheted items, the release states.
There are also to be replicas of Fostoria’s downtown flags available for purchase, and senior vouchers are to be accepted from several produce and honey vendors, the release states.
The Fostoria Kiwanis Club will be at the Market to collect new children’s books for their December book drive, and children will be able to decorate cookies at the Brenamen Insurance booth, the release states.
The Eastern Star is to provide breakfast sandwiches and muffins in the Masonic building across the street from the market, and there is to be a Tasty Dogs food truck on site, the release states.
