Tiffin man

sentenced

to prison

A Tiffin man was sentenced to prison during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley’s courtroom.

Joshua A. Reedy, 28, entered written negotiated pleas of guilty to two counts of failure to provide notice of residence address change, both fourth-degree felonies, court records state.

Kelbley sentenced him to two years and six months in prison, with credit for 85 days served.

Man admits community control violation

A New Riegel man admitted he violated the terms of his community control.

John Arthur Schalk, 54, admitted the violation during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom, according to court records.

Shuff continued Schalk’s community control and ordered him to serve 1,246 days in Seneca County Jail, with credit for 1,066 days served.

Schalk had been convicted of burglary, a second-degree felony, and theft, a fifth-degree felony, and was sentenced to four years in prison during a hearing in October 2015.

He was granted judicial release in February, court records state.

pleads guilty

A Tiffin man pleaded guilty to a drug-related charge during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley’s courtroom.

John D. Churella, 44, entered a written negotiated plea of guilty to a charge of permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony, according to court records. The case was referred for a pre-sentence investigation.

A Fostoria man pleaded guilty to theft charges during a hearing in Seneca

County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom.

Andrew J. Graeter, 18, entered written negotiated pleas of guilty to two counts of grand theft of a motor vehicle, both fourth-degree felonies, court records state.

His cases were referred for a pre-sentence investigation.

Several indicted

Several people were indicted by a Seneca County grand jury.

Randall K. Ralph Jr., 39, was charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony; abduction, a third-degree felony; and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, court records state.

Jacob R. Render, 22, was charged with failure to provide change of address, a fourth-degree felony, according to court records.

Dalvon R. Coffey, 32, of Toledo, was charged with two counts of trafficking in cocaine, one fourth-degree and one fifth-degree felony, court records state.

The grand jury specified $55 and a cellphone are subject to forfeiture.

Michael R. Carter, 36, of Tiffin, was charged with two counts of trafficking in heroin and one count of trafficking in cocaine, all fifth-degree felonies, according to court records.

The grand jury specified a cellphone and $5 are subject to forfeiture.

Benjamin A. Cover, 39, of Caledonia, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, court records state.

Melinda Delarosa, 37, of Toledo, was charged with permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony.
