Tiffin woman hurt in crash

A Tiffin woman was hurt in an accident at Jefferson and Main streets Tuesday afternoon.

According to a Tiffin Police Department report, Rhonda S. Laugherty, 34, of Tiffin, was driving a 2015 Ford Escape north on Jefferson Street, which is one way, in the left lane. Patricia S. Abrahamson, 74, of Tiffin, was driving a 2014 Jeep Compass west on Main Street.

Laugherty failed to stop for a red light at Main Street, and her vehicle collided with the Jeep, the report states.

The Jeep went off the northwest corner of the intersection and struck a stone flowerbed in front of 216 Jefferson St.

Abrahamson was taken by Tiffin Fire Rescue Division to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital, the report states.

Laugherty, who was not hurt, was cited with obedience to traffic control devices.

They were wearing seatbelts, according to the report.

John’s Welding & Towing assisted at the scene of the accident, which was reported about 1:45 p.m.
