Sycamore Village Council closes book on 2018

SYCAMORE — Sycamore Village Council members used the final meeting of 2018 to give thanks and recognize workers that paved the way to another great year in the village. Councilwoman Darcy Zimmerman thanked village employees and the three new council members, saying they did a great job in their first year of service.

Sycamore Fire Chief Rodney Clinger thanked councilman Chuck Clark for getting some lights fixed, leading snow and leaf clean-up efforts and working on the sirens in the Sycamore and McCutchenville departments as well as all he’s done in support of the fire department.

Clinger reported there were 18 EMS calls and 17 fire runs in November. Clinger also mentioned that all fire contracts had been delivered to the townships and that one already has been signed.

Clinger told the council that a back-up camera was installed on one engine to promote safety and he would like to buy six more at $120 each. He said it would add more protection to everyone in and around the vehicles.
