MaryAnn Kromer, The Advertiser-Tribune's beat reporter for lifestyle and entertainment, is retiring Friday. An open house is planned for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the newspaper office, 320 Nelson St. Kromer is to continue as a correspondent for the newspaper. While many stories are breaking news because they impact people's lives in a negative way, Kromer's usually are quite differen.
