TAG art classes for April include spring break workshops
Tiffin Art Guild is taking registrations for art classes to meet in the TAG gallery, 178 S. Washington St., Tiffin.
Advance registration is required by sending a check to TAG, P.O. Box 194, Tiffin, OH 44883 or by stopping at the gallery to sign up and make payment. Regular hours are noon-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Available classes are:
Pysanky Egg Workshop, 6-9 p.m. Monday. Participants can decorate Easter eggs with traditional Ukrainian folk designs, using a wax-resist (batik) method. The designs are “written” onto the eggs with beeswax. All materials are included. The cost is $25 for members, $35 for non-members.
Barn by the Creek, 6-9 p.m. April 9. Instructor Carol Hoffman is to guide participants in painting a spring landscape with shades of green and fluffy clouds. No painting experience is needed. The cost is $35 for members, $45 for non-members.
Student art workshops for spring break are to be offered April 6-8 at the Tiffin Art Guild Gallery. Two-hour classes are planned each day.
Learn to work with pastels April 6. The class for ages 8-12 is set for 1-3 p.m., while the 4-6 p.m. class is for ages 13-18.
Make a mosaic coaster 1-3 p.m. for students grades 8-12.
Beginning photography for teens 13-18 is scheduled for 4-6 p.m. April 7.
Students ages 8-12 can learn to paint with watercolors 1-3 p.m. April 8.
Teens ages 13-18 can learn charcoal drawing 4-6 p.m. April 8.
The cost for members is $15 per session or $40 for three classes. The cost for non-members is $20 per session or $55 for three classes. A TAG student membership costs $15 per year. Annual family memberships cost $60.
