North Central sends crew

North Central Electric Cooperative is sending four linemen and two trucks to assist Georgia Electric Cooperatives in restoring power after the devastating effects of Hurricane Irma.

According to a release, the crew was expected to leave Attica at 5 a.m. today and would be traveling in a bucket truck and a derrick-digger about 1,250 miles to assist southern Georgia cooperatives. Ohio electric cooperatives are coordinating the mutual aid efforts with 66 linemen from 11 Ohio electric cooperatives to cooperatives.
